i liked the young man at reception a lot. he gave local recommendations, SUCH helpful. our double room was clean with appropriate bedding, clean white sheets.
the elevator was very rundown AND needed a makeover, though it worked.

the location was excellent. i walked to many attractions easily. the staff was friendly and stowed my bags before i checked in (my flight arrived early). the room was clean and spacious.
the rooms felt outdated. the walls were very thin, so i heard noises from other rooms. the elevator was small and old (i used it a few times).

decent stay near the duomo
duomo proximity staff recommendation coffee machine dark room firm bed bell sound
the hotel's proximity to the duomo was a major plus it was literally steps away. the staff provided useful recommendations for local restaurants. i appreciated the free coffee machine available to guests in the mornings until 11am.
my room faced an interior shaft with cigarette debris below it was quite dark. i found the bed to be quite firm and not very comfortable. the duomo's bells started ringing at 7:00 am and i found it rather disruptive.
